WHY DID THE OTTOMAN CALIPHATE FALL 99 YEARS AGO

99 years ago, the Ottoman Caliphate, the world's last widely recognised caliphate, was abolished on 3 March 1924 (27 Rajab 1342 AH) by decree of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The process was one of Atatürk's reforms following the replacement of the Ottoman Empire with the Republic of Turkey. Abdulmejid II was deposed as the last Ottoman caliph, as was Mustafa Sabri as the last Ottoman Shaykh al-Islam. We explore the circumstances that led to this momentous event. Why did the Ottoman Caliphate fall? What should this date mean to us and what impact did this decision have on Muslims at the time and has on us today?

STOP PRESS. THE MOVES BY TURKIYE MUST BE TAKEN AT FACE VALUE AS THE MOVES TO HALT TRADE WITH ISRAHELL HAVE BEEN TAKEN AFTER CAREFUL CONSIDERATION. MANY CRITICS WILL DISMISS THESE AS COSMETIC. AFTER ALL THEY WILL ARGUE IT WAS ONE OF THE FEW MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND THE FIRST  TO ESTABLISH RELATIONS WITH ISRAHELL SINCE MARCH 1949.  MUCH WATER HAS FLOWED UNDER THE BRIDGE SINCE.

IN PARTICULAR ERDOGAN'S HAND HAS BEEN FORCED BY THE RECENT ELECTIONS IN TURKIYE WHERE HIS RULING PARTY LOST CONTROL OF THE MAJOR CITIES OF TURKIYE TO THE OPPOSITION. OTHER THAN ECONOMIC FACTORS AT PLAY IT IS CLEAR THAT THERE IS A MASSIVE PROTEST VOTE AT THE LACK OF EFFECTIVE PUNITIVE ECONOMIC, POLITICAL AND MILITARY MEASURES AGAINST ISRAHELL. IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT HIS PARTY IS STARTING TO REDRESS THESE CONCERNS AS THEY CAN NOT BE IGNORED ANY LONGER AT A TIME WHEN THERE IS A GENOCIDAL WAR RAGING ON SINCE OCTOBER 2023.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS THINK THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT THROUGHOUT THE GLOBAL MUSLIM WORLD THE MUSLIM MASSES SENTIMENT IS TO SUPPORT THE FREEDOM AND LIBERATION OF THE PEOPLE OF OCCUPIED FILISTEEN. THE LEADERSHIP OF MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND THOSE SEEKING NORMALISATION WITH THIS WESTERN COLONIAL SETTLER APARTHEID JEWISH ZIONIST REGIME GOES AGAINST THE FLOW.

IT IS CLEAR THAT THIS MOVE WILL LEAD TO REPERCUSSIONS. TURKIYE MUST SECURE IT'S FUTURE BY UNITING THE ARAB AND MUSLIM WORLD TO ACT IN SOLIDARITY AND IN PARTICULAR PROTECT IT'S CURRENCY, FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC FUTURE. AS IT WILL FACE ATTEMPTS TO CREATE INSTABILITY AND TURBULENCE. FURTHERMORE THE ROADMAP TO LIBERATE FILISTEEN WILL BE EXAMINED AS ULTIMATELY MUSLIMS WILL BE FORCED TO SETTLE THIS MATTER ONCE AND FOR ALL.  THIS WILL BE REHEARSED IN MORE DETAIL.

ERDOGAN ASSUMES AUTHORITY TO DECLARE MOBILISATION
https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/erdoga...ion-193816

  • President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has taken upon himself the authority to declare mobilization and a state of war, a power previously held by the ministerial cabinet. The shift in authority was formalized through a regulation published in the country's official gazette on May 22, bearing Erdo?an's signature.

The new "Mobilization and State of War Regulation" replaces the previous regulation, which had been in place since 1990. This change is a direct consequence of the 2018 restructuring of Türkiye's government system, which transformed the ministerial cabinet into the presidential cabinet.

According to the 52-page document, the regulation's aim is "to be able to quickly and effectively transfer all the power and resources of the State from a state of peace to a state of mobilization or war."

The regulation outlines that mobilization encompasses all preparations and measures to ready the country's armed forces for war, as well as adapting the national economy and management to wartime conditions.

The Defense Ministry defines mobilization as a state in which rights and freedoms are partially or completely restricted by law. For mobilization to be declared, there must be an imminent possibility of war with another state or states, or a situation of internal turmoil that cannot be managed under normal conditions.
