The Global Vision 2000 thinktank is hosting an emergency webinar on Saturday August 22 2026. The topic is on WW3 and the Greater Middle Eastern region. This is taking place at a critical time in the history's region and the global economy which is at a critical crossroads.
It is clear that a transition to a new security, military, energy and economic architecture is coming into being to replace the American dominated Post Bretton Woods world order. New regional alliances and energy routes are being fast tracked. The Muslim world realises that the political independence achieved by previous generations and their historic struggles and sacrifices need to expand and establish military and economic sovereignty.
The demise of the American empire will be reviewed and what will replace the current order. Taking stock of the recent wars from 1973-1979-1991-2001 and those since 2023 engaged by the imperial AngloAmerican Zionist axis will be reviewed.
The significance of the October 2025 20 Point Gaza Peace plan, Al Aqsa incursions and West Bank escalations and de facto annexation will be analysed. The USA-Iran Agreement signed at Versailles following the Islamabad talks will be reviewed. This is now over shadowed with the Makkah Pact signed on August 7 2026 in Saudi Arabia. So the question arises whether the region is going down the road of the Makkah Pact or the Washington Abrahamic Accords. Is the Makkah pact about deterrence or sectarian? Will it be able to stop Israeli expansionism, the project of a Greater Israel and Messianic wars?

A joint statement was issued today at the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan as follows:
At the gracious invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on August 7, 2026.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received President Erdogan and Prime Minister Sharif at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah, where the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence was held, during which the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were reviewed, along with a number of issues of mutual interest.
Guided by the longstanding historical ties among the three states, based on the enduring bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity that unite them, and building upon their shared strategic interests and longstanding defense cooperation, HRH the Crown Prince, the President of Türkiye, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, reflecting the three states' shared commitment to further strengthening their collective security and to promoting peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond, in pursuit of a secure and prosperous future.
The agreement is intended to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression, and stipulates that any armed attack against any one of the three states shall be regarded as an attack against them all. It further provides for the enhancement of all aspects of defense cooperation among the three states.
